Flexibility in Broadband Wireless Access Network (FlexBWAN) Workshop
in conjunction with ICCCN 2011 August 1-4 2011, MAUI Hawaii
CALL FOR PAPERS
In the last decade telecommunication capabilities and subscriber usage have changed dramatically, especially for mobile Internet services. Mobile/Wireless accesses are typically preferred due to the intrinsic benefits they bring, especially for ubiquitous connectivity; on the other hand the emerging services, customers' expectations and providers' constraints, altogether, urge on full technical solutions, including features like QoS, Resource Management, Content Management, AAA. Nonetheless a wide range of complementary standards cover different issues and are expected to interwork, providing extensive connection opportunities.
All in all Broadband Wireless Access Networks (BWA) are supposed to continue their growth and enhancement path towards a unified, ubiquitous and seamless multi-standard coverage. For this reason the workshop FlexBWAN mainly focuses on solutions providing smart techniques for the flexible adaptation and integration of existing wireless solutions, particularly those originally meant for best-effort access.
